Welcome to Junto
An introduction to what Junto is, why it exists, and what we're building together in Boston.
Junto began with a simple observation: the best conversations in Boston were happening in the margins — at the end of dinners, in the corner of events, between people who had just met and immediately wished they'd met sooner.
We built Junto to make those conversations the main event.
The name carries two meanings. In Spanish, junto means together — and that's the simplest way to describe what we're building. It also comes from Benjamin Franklin's original Junto Club, founded in Philadelphia in 1727 — a small group of tradesmen and artisans who gathered weekly to discuss ideas, share knowledge, and help one another. Franklin called it "the best school of philosophy, morality, and politics that then existed in the province."
We're not trying to recreate 18th-century Philadelphia. But we do believe there's something worth preserving in that spirit: a room where people come to think out loud, to be challenged, and to leave with something they didn't have when they arrived.
What Junto Is
Junto is a private social club in Boston. Membership is by introduction. We gather monthly — sometimes for dinner, sometimes for a talk, sometimes for something harder to categorize. The format changes. The quality of the room doesn't.
Members come from across industries and disciplines. What they share is curiosity, a certain seriousness about ideas, and the social intelligence to know when to listen.
What's Next
We'll use this space to share what we're thinking about, announce upcoming gatherings, and occasionally introduce members whose work deserves a wider audience.
If you're reading this, you probably already know someone in the room. If you'd like to be considered for membership, reach out.
